The Executive Council of the Businesswomen of Asharqia Chamber, which is headed by Maram al-Jishi, in a meeting with Eng. Khalid Al Salem, Director General of the Saudi Authority of Industrial Cities and Technology in Riyadh, discussed ways to enhance cooperation and initiatives to stimulate women to work in the industrial sector.
Al-Jishi said the meeting, which was held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, reviewed many ideas and initiatives that encourage Saudi women to enter the industrial field either as an investor or a worker.
She noted that such meetings convey the picture to the officials with regard to the ability of women to compete in order to present distinctive ideas and the national economy in accordance with the new Vision of the Kingdom 2030.
Al-Jishi pointed out that these meetings promote women's aspirations and stress their presence in all fields.
She stressed that Saudi women have a lot to offer in different sectors.
She pointed out that members of the Council, who participated in the meeting, had field visits, which is the first of its kind for a delegation of businesswomen visit the second industrial city in Riyadh to see some factories that do women's sections and encourage women workers and learn about the most prominent achievements and consider the possibility of developing these human capabilities through the expansion of its functions.
She explained that the meeting with Eng. Khalid Al Salem, Director General of the Saudi Authority of Industrial Cities and Technology in Riyadh, was productive.
She said that the meeting comes in implementation of the Council's activities and initiatives in promoting the diversification of women's investments, especially in the sectors of industry and technology, and reviewing challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
